Vice President, Government Affairs for Lending & Leasing, Financial Services Roundtable
Georgette Sierra is Vice President of Government Affairs for Lending and Leasing at the Financial Services Roundtable. Her role includes overseeing public policy issues related to consumer and small business lending, innovation and trade.
Sierra has extensive Capitol Hill and financial services industry experience. She joined FSR after serving as Chief of Staff and policy advisor for Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee. She led the Congresswoman’s legislative agenda and Financial Services Committee work, including passage of the Dodd-Frank Act and legislation to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank. Prior to Representative McCarthy’s office, she worked in governmental affairs at USAA and Grant Thornton. She began her career in the office of Representative Owen Pickett from Virginia where she managed appropriations, small business, transportation, and armed services related issues.
Sierra is a graduate of James Madison University, and a native Virginian. She lives in Vienna, VA with her husband and young daughter.
