Stephen Neuman has spent his career focused on navigating large, complex organizations, and on achieving measurable outcomes. He currently serves as a Managing Director, Corporate Affairs, for American Airlines, the largest airline in the world. He has served in senior roles for three governors in three different states: chief of staff to Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo; chief administrative officer to Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley; and senior adviser to North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue. An attorney, Neuman worked in the corporate restructuring practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and clerked for the Honorable James B. Zagel of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Neuman also has federal legislative experience, having served as a legislative assistant both to Senator John D. Rockefeller IV (D-WV), and Senator Jean Carnahan (D-MO). In addition to his government experience, Neuman has also worked in Democratic politics. Among other races, he managed all aspects of the Hillary for America and Democratic Coordinated Campaigns in Michigan in 2016, and he served as the chief of staff to the Obama for America campaign in North Carolina in 2008. A native of St. Louis, Neuman graduated from the University of Missouri, and from the Washington University School of Law.
